worked as a research assistant on several projects for Dr. Daniel Cook, PhD, investigating using a learning algorithm to analyze waveforms, one project with the Department of Defense used the learning algorithm to distinguish the differences in the typical polygraph physiology waveforms between lying and truth telling subjects. A second project was analyzing the EEG following giving neuroactive drugs to analyze the neurologic effect of the various drugs when compared to each other

served for three years in the United States Air Force as the flight surgeon for the 28th MDG, during this time the unit was awarded with the outstanding unit award.
