David V. Strain, M.D.

Dr. David V. Strain attended the University of Utah, where he completed his degree in Biology. While in college he worked in a cognitive neurobiology lab as a lab assistant, a biochemistry lab as a lab assistant and a math biology lab as a lab assistant. He also worked with disabled children at an afterschool program. Dr. Strain was also an EMT while fighting forest fires during his summer breaks at the University of Utah
He was accepted to Jefferson Medical. Upon graduation he completed a transitional internship at UPMC Mercy. He subsequently fulfilled a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Albert Einstein Medical Center where he received the resident research award.
These efforts led to acceptance to the prestigious Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, where he completed a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. After completion of his fellowship in 2015, he became faculty at the University of Kentucky at the rank of Assistant Professor. He is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology from the American Board of Radiology.
Dr. Strain continues to pursue research and teaching interests, particularly in percutaneous dialysis interventions and the Interventional Oncology.
