Physician Testimonials
UIA is exactly what I was looking for in a practice when I needed to relocate to Salt Lake City in 2020. The group is physician-owned with a talented and dedicated CEO, there are strong collaborative relationships with the regional HCA hospitals and private clinics we serve, and the group supports my efforts to provide high quality breast imaging services for the community.
I have really enjoyed working for UIA over the last 1.5 years. The strong relationships the group has with associated hospitals, imaging centers, and referring providers is readily apparent. Being able to provide expert imaging interpretation in all modalities, as well as a broad array of interventional services helps us stay competitive in the local market and grow our footprint. It also provides for an enjoyable, invigorating practice with much diversity and a healthy work load. The teamwork amongst the radiologists and support staff promotes efficiency and a good work-life balance.
I came to UIA from a corporate radiology practice. I was tired of being just another cog in the machine churning out study after study. Upon joining UIA I was immediately allowed to contribute to the operation aspects of the practice, get involved in tumor boards, and look for new ways to expand the practice. I was part of team to build something, not just there to interpret images. It felt like home. The group I had been looking for.
Everyone is friendly and cordial. We all pull the same direction to achieve the goal of being one of the best radiology groups in Utah. Service to our hospitals, clinics, and referring physicians is paramount to keeping excellent relationships and providing the best patient care. The group prides itself on that. UIA also has a work life balance to keep you mentally fresh for your work days and full of energy for your off ones.
The icing on the cake is you get to live in Utah where you can be hiking, skiing, camping, fishing, boating, hunting, or any number of outdoor activities in a manner of minutes. In fact I can be to the ski lift in 20 mins where I have world class slopes to enjoy. Salt lake has excellent fine dining, local and national entertainment, a thriving art scene, a blossoming nightlife, and professional sports. I couldn’t see myself living anywhere else or not being part of UIA.
I believe that UIA has assembled a great group of professionals that not only provide excellent clinical services, but also care about the personal welfare of each other. The team dynamics within the practice have increased exponentially over the years as we adapt to the changes that have happened in medicine over the last few years, with fluctuating volumes, fluctuating patient acuity, and an evolving job force within radiology as a whole.
I enjoy being able to be a complete radiologist and utilizing the entirety of training, as well as feeling that my subspecialty training is an asset to my practice and those entities we serve. I enjoy interaction with UIA clinicians, and employees on a day to day basis. I have lived in Utah for 30 years. It is an easy place to live, has four seasons of fun and is a great place to raise a family. I chose UIA because of the breadth of radiology I am able to practice, the strength of the clinicians, and the potential growth within the region.
